Customer Reviews

The Wolf
This is a solid framing gun. It is fairly light and easy to use. There are newer models with more features (various companies), but there may be considerable price difference. So you need to decide what you need out a gun. It does have a kick when shooting 3-1/2" exterior nails, but what would you expect from a light gun setting a long nail??? This is not a finish gun. With any gun, you have to find a happy medium between air pressure and depth setting. I use 90 psi with the depth setting third from deepest setting and obtain a consistent 1/8" counter sink on straight shots in treated lumber. Don't forget to use lubricating oil. There are better deals available for this model, shop around.

Good gun
Good deal to me.

Perfect
Worked like a champ, does have a kick to it, but are driving in 3 1/2" nails.

Good Nailer
The Dewalt D51822 is light and it is easy to use, as advertised. It does a good job but I wish I'd gotten the porter cable fr350a instead. From what I've read it's better value. This one didn't even come with a hard case. Still, I'm happy with it.

If only the nails went all the way in
Although it seems lighter than any other framer I've used for some reason I can't get the gun to shoot the naile all the way through the wood. There always seems to be a 1/4" to an 1" of the nail hanging out. I'm a big DeWalt Fan, any tool I can buy from them I do. I wish I went with the standard Bostich or even and enemy... Porter Cable!
